Here a Post, There a Post

In today’s market there are so many places to put an ad. It’s time consuming and can be difficult to keep up with which spots are best without the use of cutting edge technology. It makes me want a magic wand to wave. Abracadabra! And just like that, all of my ads are in the right place at the right time for just the right customers.

Since that’s only possible in Disney films, I depend on lessons I learn from people I meet. Remember Will from the blog Don’t Let Your Engine Stall? I really love that guy. He’s a treasure trove of stories that help me learn crucial tips about posting! Here’s another story he told me:

Will is an auto dealer and had a big event at one of his stores. When the customers came in they had to fill out a card for a drawing and put it into one of those big bingo-type tumblers and they would pull a winner. On the card it asked them where they had heard about the event and 70% of the people wrote down the local newspaper.

Now this was the shocker… he had gotten in a tiff with that local newspaper way back when and had not placed an ad with them in over three years. But 70% of the people wrote down that specific newspaper as their source for the event ad. Not possible, right?

So here was Will’s epiphany. (I confess that I hear sparkly Disney “magic” music here.) It doesn’t really matter where people see the information, they just need to see it! It’s about getting my ad out to as many different venues as possible and staying consistent. Wow. So much easier!

I started using that discovery in deciding what to do with my ads and it has made all the difference. I have some priorities when it’s time to decide what lucky patcher for ios marketing vehicle I’m going to use to get my ads out to lots of venues.

My 4 priorities are:

1. Get the ads to the right places at the right time
2. Do it efficiently and with affordability
3. Have the tools to make the ad look its best
4. And most of all — save time!

These keep me on track and kind of make me feel like I do have that magic wand. I post, post, post…and keep it consistent. Consistency is my abracadabra! Now, do you hear the Disney music? Thank you, Tinkerbell! (I take a bow.)
